Doctor of Science
Doctoral Program - Doctor of Science (DSc/Dr)
Our student body, in the doctoral program, is comprised of experienced School Psychologists, Educators and School Administrators, Businesspersons (MBA's), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Professional Counselors, Master's-level Psychologists, Rehabilitation Counselors, Master's-level College Professors, Hospital Administrators, Bankers, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Physicians, Dentists and other professionals.
This program provides an excellent opportunity for doctoral students who have completed most, or all, of their requirements for the doctorate at another accredited institution. These students, for one reason or another, did not finish their dissertation in time to obtain the diploma. These students are the so called ABD's (all but dissertation).
This is a serious program for independent minded students who possess the determination and self discipline to work at their own pace. Our students are goal oriented and have the theoretical knowledge and work experience in their fields, but lack the credentials necessary for promotional opportunities, academic advancement, self satisfaction, etc.
The doctorate awarded by the University is an earned diploma. Therefore, the University upholds high academic standards and expects a quality dissertation from the student. The student is allowed to choose the topic for his/her dissertation. The student must also adhere to his/her field of study and expertise as the university requires no coursework in its research based doctorate program, although students should have the required graduate level knowledge of statistics, research and evaluation methods necessary to successfully complete the program. Any deficiencies must be made up prior to beginning the dissertation. Students may, of course, take additional courses by contract study, attend seminars, etc.
Research Based Doctorate
The research based doctorate program Doctor of Science (DSc/Dr) was developed for qualified students who already possess the theoretical knowledge and experience in their area of expertise. This program is divided into five modules and is worth a total of 48 semester credits:

2. Dissertation Proposal - 6 semester hours. The student prepares his dissertation proposal (First three chapters of the dissertation.). Upon approval she/he is advanced to candidacy.
